The Artistic Difference

There is an art to photography and my fingerprint will be within every file I edit. No shortcuts. Passion for your work makes all the difference among photographers. I believe your love story can become art and should live forever.

My name is Jim Rode. My team and I create beautiful photography of your engagement and wedding. Each image will be lightly retouched and enhanced. I roam the wedding capturing fabulous moments. Many images are taken to the "darkroom" where the photographs are given my sensational fine-art treatment. My team of photographers and myself serve the greater Dallas and DFW area. I can travel nationwide for destination weddings.

Your wedding, my art. In love and art, you live forever. Jim Rode

HDR photography Le Beaux Chateau - from full time photographer Jim Rode

The cool thing about wedding photography in Dallas is that you meet the most wonderful people. Allison and David are great examples of two people in love, balancing life, children, a home and a wedding. Here are a few pictures I grabbed from their wedding and Morning After Session. Great images, great couple.

Tawanda and Carlos at Le Beaux Chateau (former Chapelle des Fleurs)

Tawanda and Carlos are so in love. Simple as that. Blessed by God above. Their wedding was all theirs...witnessed by friends, family -and lucky me.

Flower Mound Wedding Saturday - from Jim Rode Photographer

Woohoo! Amy and William will be married Saturday! (in Flower Mound at Le Beaux Chateau) Be there are be square as they say...
Totally in love.
As we spent the day together, I began to read their eyes. Amy would watch William, looking for the next thing he might do. I'd spot William glancing at Amy when she wasn't looking. Holy Moly! Man are they in love! Passionate is the word that defines these great people. And "fun" too. We had a blast going all over town. Whenever I made a suggestion, A & W were good for it. Got to be one of the best webcasts I ever made. The pictures were so powerful and yet so crazy fun! What a blend, what a day. (I hope Amy and William don't mind the A & W thing. It's my favorite soda, and they are my favorite couple!)

These images pop with bracketing some of the images, layer them together. It is an HDR effect.

Le Beaux Chateau wedding in Flower Mound from Jim Rode Photographer of Dallas

Leigh Ann and Ken got married! It was a great wedding and these wonderful people inspire me with great images. Kenneth and Leigh Ann had a special ceremony that seemed magical. You could hear a pin drop while they said their vows. As they exchange rings I noticed I had the biggest smile on my face! Later everyone enjoyed great food, music and dance. We partied into the night. Their wedding book is going to be fantastic, because of such wonderful images.

Once again, I have to thank Chapelle des Fleurs for putting on a fantastic wedding. (Now called Le Beaux Chateau) So professional. They take care of everything!

Engagements for Le Beaux Chateau wedding from Jim Rode Photographer

I spent Saturday with Jason and Jennifer kicking around in Dallas. They are a fantastic couple! Very good looking too! (photographers dream subjects) We went a few places I knew about -then a couple Jason knew about -then discovered places too! We spent out change on Ross in the meters...then everywhere we went, we searched for parking meters already ticking. Isn't that crazy? Usually I've got a ton of change in the car...not that day! We began the day where Jason proposed. That was cool. Jason and Jennifer will be married July 18 at Chapelle (Le Beaux Chateau) in Flower Mound.

Le Beaux Chateau Wedding - from Jim Rode Photographer of Dallas

Denisse and Daniel seem to have that special love. I look at them and think of my wonderful wife Sylvia. Their love seems full dimensional. It looks to be a balance of love/respect/family/partnership. I and Jenna (who seconded for me -a fine photographer!) were so lucky to be a part of their day. And even better -it was at Chapelle des Fleurs! Chapelle really does a first class job doing a wedding. (Chapelle is now called Le Beaux Chateau and is a great Flower Mound wedding venue) So many little touches in a complex event helped make this wedding wonderful. It was full of family, and fun. I loved the beautiful portraits I was able to create (with the help of a beautiful bride!!) and I loved the dancing!

Oh so cool! I love meeting people and those thoughts run through my head "yeah, I like these guys!" They are from Weatherford and traveled out to the "big city" to have an engagement safari. We had lunch at California Pizza and began to travel around stopping for shots in different places. (This is one of my success secrets. A lot of photographers will take a couple to the park -didn't your parents always take you to the park? Yawn... In 45 minutes, imagination has run it's course, and the poor photographer says "I guess we got everything.") (I'm speaking in L A California to photographers about engagements next month. If any of the photographers who catch my blog want info -give me a call.)

Denisse and Daniel and I had a blast. We took the time to get to know each other. Belinda, Daniels mom, brought Kane, his grown puppy-dog out from Mineral Wells (bless her heart) and we got some great shots with that wonderdog Kane! Then we took off for the canal to further explore cool images together! Here are some shots.
They will marry at what is now called Le Beaux Chateau in Flower Mound.
