The Artistic Difference

There is an art to photography and my fingerprint will be within every file I edit. No shortcuts. Passion for your work makes all the difference among photographers. I believe your love story can become art and should live forever.

My name is Jim Rode. My team and I create beautiful photography of your engagement and wedding. Each image will be lightly retouched and enhanced. I roam the wedding capturing fabulous moments. Many images are taken to the "darkroom" where the photographs are given my sensational fine-art treatment. My team of photographers and myself serve the greater Dallas and DFW area. I can travel nationwide for destination weddings.

Mid-Cities Wedding at NEWC by Jim Rode Photographer of Dallas

Marla and Kevin got married in the Mid-Cities! Yeah!

Great couple and  a beautiful bride. She did the best "presentation" set up (those who were there know what I'm talking about) of any bride I ever saw -before tossing the bouqet. The "girls" were cheering before she tossed it! The dancing at reception was wild and fun. The wedding was beautiful.

Texas Rangers Engagement - Jim Rode Photographer in Arlington

I had a ton of fun with Jordan and Casey on their engagements!

They are huge Texas Rangers fans, but we started in Grapevine and did the town going to Southlake, Westlake, and then caught Arlington for sunset. Casey and Jordan are big sports fans, so we included engagements at the Ballpark in Arlington, and the new Cowboy Stadium. The Stadium was just being completed. Every time some announcer on TV mentions how old the stadium is, Casey and Jordan will be able to look at each other and say "Yup, we've been married x-years now!"

They will be married at the newly restored -and beautiful Northeast Wedding Chapel in the Mid-Cities, in July. Be there are be square!

Northeast Wedding Chapel wedding from Jim Rode Photographer

Jerome and Natasha where married September 26th at the Northeast Wedding Chapel in the Mid-Cities. The guys were guys and the girls all looked pretty! They were the perfect couple (a photographers dream couple in fact!) -good looking people always mean great photography.

When photographers work with beautiful people they work extra hard (if you read this you guys -don't let this inflate your egos too much!!). Not everyone that Leonardo da Vinci painted was a Mona Lisa -but you just know -that when he realized how beautiful she was, he worked extra hard to make that painting right! Here are a few images. Oh, check out the cake!

Northeast Wedding Chapel Jim Rode photographer

Have you ever been to a wedding that turned out to be almost a fairy tale? I have. For two weeks, I've been stunned at how cool Jaime and Tommy's wedding was. So very cool. So much love, and so many special moments -I'm way late with getting the pictures ready. (Of course I'm working with a couple thousand!) Each image is carefully perfected after the wedding...but gee! When they are this good -I've been working with my jaw dropped! Here is one image taken in the bridal room before the wedding...a special moment. It's just hands...but that says everything anyway. The wedding was at Northeast Wedding Chapel in the Mid-Cities.

Northeast Wedding Chapel wedding - Jim Rode Photographer

Great wedding! Kara and Erik got married! And the family! Wow! Talk about knowing how to have a good time... The music and dancing at the reception was wild and fun.

The ceremony was flawless (as it usually is at Northeast Wedding Chapel -here is their link in case anyone needs it NortheastWeddingChapel.com). Kara came down the staircase to meet her father (who almost it seemed, carried the bouquet up the aisle for her!)

Andrea and Daniel were married at the Northeast Wedding Chapel. Everything goes so smoothly there. What I really loved though was seeing how many great friends they had. It sounds silly, but people with a lot of friends seem to have the best weddings! I guess as they say in west Texas..."they're good people." I hope that doesn't sound hokey...but it fits my reaction to the wedding. If you are friends with this couple, you've got good friends!

Andrea wanted what is called in California, "Trash the Dress". I called it "Rock the Frock" for a while. I can't get over the "new" thing of taking the gown out to places it will get dirty! I think it is a tension breaker. You do so many things to make the wedding day perfect, that when it's over, it's time to break-out. I still don't like that phrase...or even my "frock" subsitute. So I've decided to call it "Field Trip." Wherever we go after the wedding is over...it will be a field trip!
