The Artistic Difference

There is an art to photography and my fingerprint will be within every file I edit. No shortcuts. Passion for your work makes all the difference among photographers. I believe your love story can become art and should live forever.

My name is Jim Rode. My team and I create beautiful photography of your engagement and wedding. Each image will be lightly retouched and enhanced. I roam the wedding capturing fabulous moments. Many images are taken to the "darkroom" where the photographs are given my sensational fine-art treatment. My team of photographers and myself serve the greater Dallas and DFW area. I can travel nationwide for destination weddings.

Your wedding, my art. In love and art, you live forever. Jim Rode

Here is a sneak peak at Sophie and Matt's engagements shot a couple weeks ago during spring break. We saw a picture-board wall and couldn't resist a vogue session. Had a blast! More in a couple days!

Engagements from Jim Rode - Dallas Wedding Photographer

Patti and Ervey are cool cats who live in the world of finance. Finding each other and a world to share together is awesome. Together we played (seems like all day!) shooting pictures all over town. Spring was blossoming and Patti is so beautiful. Ervey kissed her every chance he could. People in love bring a smile to my face...

We were in the park near a fountain close to a street band. It is SO COOL to have a band serenade lovebirds! They were so gracious and we posed for a picture with them.

Later, we found a picture frame wall and vogued. It was fun to watch the shoppers go by doing a double-take...looking at Ervey-Patti...my camera...and walking by with huge smiles. People will walk in the street to avoid getting in between us...they don't have to, but it is sweet of them...

They get married in a few weeks at Aristide Event Center and I can't wait! Patti will be a beautiful bride. If spring is this good looking, I can't wait for summer!

Tip to photographers: If you need a "how to" on having a better wedding, consider spending the day with a couple having fun, taking pictures, lunch...REALLY get to know how they act and love each other. Then, you have more insight on the wedding day. Then, you can see great moments in photography coming.

Little Chapel in the Woods - Denton by Jim Rode Dallas wedding photographer

Sneak Peek!
A short time ago I met a wonderful family. I proudly photographed their wedding at the Little Chapel in the Woods. Always a wonderful place for a wedding to remember forever. Gary and Amy wed. All the kids were there. Marvelous.

Afterwards we did family pictures outside in the budding spring. We were off to the reception with a short stop at the railroad tracks -just in time to catch a passing train.

Walking through the lot I spotted flour trucks as Amy exclaimed "That's the kind I use..." Well, I know something different when I see it...Who else in the world can display their bridal image by the Pioneer Flour truck?!

Engagements Dallas - HDR photography from Jim Rode Dallas

Really -really -cool engagement day with Tawanda and Carlos. Like the Beach Boys sing "fun, fun, fun". Tawanda and Carlos are great together. We 'kicked' around Grapevine, hit a farm, shopping center and office park. I hope I've created images that both families will be thrilled with...and hold close for a lifetime. Times like these are fleeting. Before you know it, you are out at dinner celebrating your 10th anniversary...then your 20th...I'll stop there! Looking forward to a great wedding with a terrific couple. May God bless them!
