The Artistic Difference

There is an art to photography and my fingerprint will be within every file I edit. No shortcuts. Passion for your work makes all the difference among photographers. I believe your love story can become art and should live forever.

My name is Jim Rode. My team and I create beautiful photography of your engagement and wedding. Each image will be lightly retouched and enhanced. I roam the wedding capturing fabulous moments. Many images are taken to the "darkroom" where the photographs are given my sensational fine-art treatment. My team of photographers and myself serve the greater Dallas and DFW area. I can travel nationwide for destination weddings.

Your wedding, my art. In love and art, you live forever. Jim Rode

Homecoming wedding walk through the floats - Jim Rode Photographer Dallas

After the wedding at the Little Chapel in the Woods, Lene and David headed for Homecoming at UNT. We had a great time cruising by the floats with a favorite friend. Afterwards, dining with close friends. Memories are made of this.

Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is Wedding Ready.

Lindasy Egan and the staff of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History hosted the Professional Wedding Guild to a Mad Scientist Party Tuesday night. A crazy time was had by all!

The museum is a beautiful location for a wedding or event. I can't wait. I was also surprised at the variety and depth of exhibits. I loved the scenic atrium garden and waterfall. This museum ought to be put on your list of must see visits.

Lene and David at the Little Chapel in the Woods.

The beautiful Lene said "Yes" to the handsome David and the wedding day was meant to be.

Lene was a gorgeous bride walking the aisle at the Little Chapel of the Woods. David watched and waited, a knight standing tall. When Lene reached the sanctuary steps, she handed her flowers to her maid of honor and stood with David to make a vow. I thought it was so cool to see David place his arm around her waist as they stood together.

In only minutes, they were married...their hearts bound together, forever.

Here is a sneak peek at Lene and David's after-the-wedding pictures. Lene had a friend with a Pyrenees dog (which you'll see later) and that was enough to entice me into shooting pictures at the homecoming parade. When we first arrived, there stood a unit of ROTC waiting to lead the parade. "Do you mind if we walk by?" "Please do, we'll come to attention." After this beautiful couple passed, the cadets applauded. Is this a great country or what!? Thank you everyone.

HDR Engagement California Pizza - by Dallas photographer Jim Rode

When two people find each other, it really doesn't matter if there are 40 waves per hour washing on the shore, or 42. It can be cloudy in St. Paul, and sunny in Phoenix. There is no difference between the chill in Seattle, and a breeze in Bangor Maine -when two people are in love. I had lunch with John and Tara. I spent about 20 minutes photographing this couple, before business forced John back to the real world.

Nothing matters in the real world, not when this couple's eyes meet. Not when they whisper or read each others thoughts. Not when she brushes fingers across his cheek or he brushes the hair back from her face -to better see her eyes. Nothing matters save what is in their hearts.

What a cool way to spend a long lunch and a short session...

European Scientists Engagement from Jim Rode Dallas wedding photographer

I am so lucky to have the greatest job! I love making images people will hang on their wall for decades to come. Case in point, I'm doing engagements and a wedding for a great couple, and providing a hi-res DVD for them to use as a resource for printing great wall portraits (or smaller!).

Lene and David are in love and getting married. I am their photographer (Jim says proudly!!) Lene and David are both research scientists at a local prominent university.Their field of study (in my words) is the effect of chemicals in the marine environment. Anyone working to keep our world a cleaner, safer place is very cool to me. Without clean waterways and a vibrant ocean, we will live in a sorry world. Thanks guys for your hard work. Lene is from Denmark, and David from the UK (Wales). You guys rock.

Here are some engagements where we walked around Southlake in the evening, stopping for good burgers at Five Guys. Can't wait for the wedding!
