There is an art to photography and my fingerprint will be within every file I edit. No shortcuts. Passion for your work makes all the difference among photographers. I believe your love story can become art and should live forever.

My name is Jim Rode. My team and I create beautiful photography of your engagement and wedding. Each image will be lightly retouched and enhanced. I roam the wedding capturing fabulous moments. Many images are taken to the "darkroom" where the photographs are given my sensational fine-art treatment. My team of photographers and myself serve the greater Dallas and DFW area. Engagements for Grand Prairie Wedding at RJC - Jim Rode, Dallas wedding photographer

Amy and Lyall are such a fun couple! They are very in love and I got lost in photographing this cool couple. Lyall is a Captain in the army, and Amy is a nurse. These are two people who give of themselves to make the world a better place. I am humbled.

We "kicked" our way around Dallas. We started at the Children's Medical Center where Lyall proposed, then headed for Deep Ellum. We were so lucky to find the bridges being painted. I lost my shirt on that one...(to a paint job -who cares?!) Then on to Old Red, the historic Dallas Courthouse.

Amy and Lyall will be married December at the Ruthe Jackson Center. I am so blessed to photograph their day.

Engagement Dallas -Jim Rode Photographer

I'm posting some images of Lindsey and Eric today. Fun couple. Eric has one of those cars with that throaty sound from the mufflers -I love that. Lindsey was the beautiful bride I photographed just weeks ago at the Diamond Oaks Country Club.

I'm posting because I was googling around and came across an article on engagement advice written by you-know-who. It's still relevant info, so I'm sharing it here. Also a great excuse to blog Lindsey again! Read the article on Engagements here.

Flower Mound Wedding Saturday - from Jim Rode Photographer

Woohoo! Amy and William will be married Saturday! (in Flower Mound at Le Beaux Chateau) Be there are be square as they say...
Totally in love.
As we spent the day together, I began to read their eyes. Amy would watch William, looking for the next thing he might do. I'd spot William glancing at Amy when she wasn't looking. Holy Moly! Man are they in love! Passionate is the word that defines these great people. And "fun" too. We had a blast going all over town. Whenever I made a suggestion, A & W were good for it. Got to be one of the best webcasts I ever made. The pictures were so powerful and yet so crazy fun! What a blend, what a day. (I hope Amy and William don't mind the A & W thing. It's my favorite soda, and they are my favorite couple!)

These images pop with bracketing some of the images, layer them together. It is an HDR effect.

Little Chapel in the Woods wedding couple - from Jim Rode Photographer

I had an absolute blast with Chip and Jennifer in Dallas. We went on Safari exploring Little Mexico (after a great Mexican Breakfast of course!) and the arts district of Dallas. They are a fun couple and willing to kiss. (Duh!)

This is what love is all about -big as Dallas -as they say. They are getting married April at the Little Chapel in the Woods, one of my favorite places.

They drove 60 miles to meet me. We talked over the tortillas and coffee and got to talk about wedding plans. It was kind of sad to have to see them take off at 12 to get back to work!
