On a recent Saturday night, Second City was in the hearts of two people in love. They gathered in the evening air at the gardens of the Ruthe Jackson Center for a wedding witnessed by friends and family. Then they danced the night away before heading out for the fabulous W. I loved -loved when our fab master of ceremonies (Randy Roberson) ensured every table stopped by the brides table to sing a song...and earn their place in line for dinner. So very cool! Lucia Bitnar of Foster Blue kept things running smoothly and of course the Ruthe Jackson Center was A+ as a quality setting.

AWP Event at the Ruthe Jackson Center by Jim Rode - Dallas wedding photographer

Last week I photographed a bridal at the gorgeous Ruthe Jackson Center in Grande Prairie. That evening I attended the AWP dinner of wedding professionals. I snuck in before the doors opened and snuck some shots of the ballroom. It was beautifully decorated with a New Orleans flare. You'll see a shot of Randy Roberson with his fog machine pumping out fog. I love the way that feels - walking into a room ankle deep in fog. Randy also did the lighting. Jim Rode at the Ruthe Jackson Center

Last week I spent an "Evening With Tiffany Blue" at the Ruthe Jackson Center in Grand Prairie. Fun bridal show that brought a large turnout to a Audrey Hepburn movie theme event. I loaded up some stuff for my display and in minutes was headed to Grand Prairie. At the last minute I grabbed my little vacation camera to get a few shots of the night. I'm glad I did because it was so much fun.

Randy Ro Entertainment did the lighting, Foster Blue decorated my table for me (thank you Lucia Bitnar!!) I was right next to Julie from Paper Planet. And I loved the table florals by Kate Foley Designs.
